AAUW - Racine Branch
Established in 1923, the Racine Branch, with its over 200 members, works with the state and national organizations for positive societal change through activism and advocacy. We have
- sponsored candidate's forums
- conducted tutoring programs for women in prison
- created an informational brochure on school choice
We currently
- offer scholarships to Racine County women
- collaborate with area schools on a program encouraging 18 year old students to register to vote
- conduct a used book sale each February to raise funds for the AAUW Educational Foundation
Members enjoy the opportunity to meet other professional women in our regular meetings, social events and through study groups geared toward their special interests. Our monthly dinner meetings feature speakers discussing current events and women's issues.
